“Perla Negra” Wants to Fight Mijares

Juan Luis “Perla Negra” Hernandez (15-2-1, 9KO) is convinced that a win over David “Flecha” Gaspar (12-1-1, 7KO) on Saturday, January 30th, at the Mariano Matamoros Auditorium in Tijuana, MX, guarantees him bigger and better fights, including one against former super flyweight champion Cristian Mijares.

“This would be a big step above all because it might mean a possible fight against Cristian Mijares,: Hernandez stated.

Box Latino, the promoters for the night, announced that the winner of the bout will face Mijares at the end of March in Monterrey, MX, on the undercard of the return of Erik “Terrible” Morales.

“Since my last loss I have learned a lot. I’ve learned to be more consistent with my punches,” Hernandez said. Hernandez trained for the Gaspar bought at the Mojac Gym.

The bout will be televised in Mexico by Cadena Tres.
