“Erik Wants a Great Fight,” His Dad Says!

Jose “Olivaritos” Morales, father and trainer of Erik “Terrible” Morales, insists that his son will in great physical condition for his face off against Jose Alfaro on March 27th at the Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, MX.

“We are at almost two months of training and Erik has been behaving himself in the gym, he is very motivated, he looks like a rookie,” “Olivaritos” stated.

“Erik wants to give a great fight and that is why he trains hard,” he continued.  “He feels he needs to do it for the fans, he chose a hard opponent in Jose Alfaro, who is a fomer champion.”

Jose Morales stated that his son’s main objective is to capture his fourth title in as many division, making him the first Mexican fighter to ever achieve such a feat.

“That is why he works so hard.  With that kind of dedication, he will be able to capture that fourth title,” he said.  “Jose Alfaro has faced some great fighters.  He is known as a KO artist.  He likes to brawl.  He is going to push Erik.”

“Olivaritos” feels that at welterweight, “Terrible” should be able to assimilate the punches.

“He is trying a new division, he is tall enough to fight at 142 lbs,” Morales’ father concluded.
