“Zorrita” Soto Trains in Tijuana!

Two time divisional world champion Humberto “Zorrita” Soto is at full throttle in his preparation for his WBC lightweight championhip bout versus Chicago’s David Diaz set as the semi-main event of Manny Pacquiao versus Joshua Clottey on March 13th in Dallas, TX.

Soto of Los Mochis, MX, trains at the Sports World Gym in Tijuana, MX, under the tutelage of Bobby Quirarte, the son of the legendary Romulo Quirarte.

Marvin Quintero, Rogelio Castañeda and Octavio Castro as serving as Soto’s chief sparring partners for his next challenge against Diaz, who has only has two losses on his record, one against Jose Armando Santa Cruz and the second to Manny Pacquiao.

Soto and Diaz will be fighting for the green and gold belt that Edwin Valero vacated after successfully defending it against Antonio DeMarco.

With the win, Soto will join Julio Cesar Chavez, Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera and Juan Manuel Marquez as the only Mexican fighters that have captured a WBC world title in three different weight divisions.
